HOT JAZZ IN THE CARIBBEAN
WITH CHICAGO'S WEST END JAZZ BAND


Chicago's renowned West End Jazz Band, featuring Mike Albiniak on drums were featured in a unique Traditional Jazz theme cruise organized and sponsored by The Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Society. The society also sponsors a yearly Jazzfest every July in Davenport Iowa (the hometown of Bix Beiderbecke). Fans of traditional American Jazz music were treated to a seven-day luxury cruise of the eastern Caribbean aboard the Carnival cruise ship, Valor.

San Francisco Drum Co. received our first international visitor from Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Hiroyuki Sato, owner of Pad Corporation, made a much-appreciated trip north following the 2006 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. Mr. Sato and San Francisco Drum Co. owner Garry Williams had the pleasant opportunity to visit in person and spend a few days together, seeing the city's most popular tourist attractions as well as a marathon tour of the leading pro drum shops in Northern California. DUNNETT R-CLASS SNARE THROWOFF
NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL MODEL SNARE DRUMS

San Francisco Drum Company is now offering the Dunnett R-Class snare throwoffs as the standard component on all snare drum models starting in 2006. The new snare strainer features a smooth piston-action operation and is constructed of durable metal components. A notable new advantage of the new R-Class mechanism is the adjustable handle, which allows the user to adjust the handle position by 180°. Read More
